Efforts are being made to replace conventional foaming agents for urethane with non-fluorinated options that have a lower environmental impact. Non-fluorinated urethane foaming agents include water-blown, cyclopentane, and HFO, among others. Water-blown foaming agents have inferior insulation performance compared to alternative fluorocarbons, requiring greater thickness to maintain equivalent performance, which increases costs. However, cyclopentane and HFO do not have performance drawbacks compared to alternative fluorocarbons, and they are expected to accelerate the transition to non-fluorinated options in the future. To continue this progress, it is necessary for companies to maintain the profits required for their operations, but we believe it is also essential to recognize our role as a more socially responsible entity and to continue our activities accordingly.
